Daniel's First Day of Preschool

Daniel was excited to go and walked right in and never looked back. He got to have donuts this morning so it was a special first day for him.
This is what he does when I say smile...oh my!

First Day of Kindergarten

Nathan started Kindergarten today and though we have been talking about this day for so long, I couldn't believe it was here. There were tears of course, but overall I am happy for him to start the great adventure of school. I have no regrets of the time I have been able to share with him for the past five and a half years and am so lucky and thankful to be his mother.
The three musketeers getting ready to walk to school.
Daniel is never in a hurry to go anywhere, so he and Michael were the caboose the entire walk to school.
Some neighbor friends that are also starting Kindergarten running to catch up with us. The whole neighborhood walks to school so it is just masses of people getting to hang out and enjoy each other. I feel so lucky to live in this neighborhood and be blessed with this school.
Gracy, Samuel, and Nathan - 2023 feels like forever away, thank goodness!
I came to pick him up and this is the look of joy on his face! He had a great day and can't wait to go back until tomorrow.

Colorado

Colorado was gorgeous, cool, and our family had such a wonderful time with cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. Thank you Birdie and Buddy for such a great trip!
Brooks swinging at such a fun pirate park in Vail.
We had lunch by the creek in Vail which was so much fun and so beautiful.
The boys had such a great time playing in the fountains in Vail village...we had to buy some new shorts so they weren't sopping wet and cold all day!

A picture with Albert Einstein...thinking hard!
Michael and the boys on a hiking adventure
We went walking along the snake river and had fun throwing rocks and feeling how cold the water was. The next series of pictures are of all the kids getting in and screaming because of the temperature of the water!

Here we are on a steam train through the mountains. It was a beautiful ride and the boys sat like this for the last half of the rain just watching.

Codi and Daniel holding hands to go get on the train. They are both so sweet!
Aunt Denise, Nathan, and Jackson trying to feed the chipmunks. Halarious because Nathan has little patience, so after a few minutes he would yell at the chipmunks to "come here!" This was so much fun though watching all the chipmunks and climbing around trying to feed them.

Nathan bungee jumping in Breckenridge and going unbelievable high - doing flips!
The boys right before the jumping began...
