Nathan turns 6

I can't believe my "baby" turned 6 yesterday. It feels like quite a journey, but also I can remember it like yesterday the experience of him entering our lives. He is growing and learning and changing and I treasure who he is and how unique his personality is on a daily basis. We love you Nathan!

Ice Skating with Birdie and Buddy

The boys had an absolutely delightful day with Birdie and Buddy. They started the morning decorating and eating cookies, we went to lunch, and then we went ice skating at Barton Creek. They LOVED it. We skated for over and hour and the boys actually were pretty good at it.

Do you see the pure joy and delight on Nathan's face?
Daniel was so crazy on the ice jumping around, so Birdie and I took turns skating with him.
My precious older boys!
Post skating, drinking hot chocolate...yes, we hit our sugar intake for the week today! Thank you Birdie and Buddy for a fun Christmas memory.

Visit with Santa

We went to the Hill Country Galleria to visit Santa, who by the way was incredible! Brooks was more than a little concerned after he looked over at Santa. Typical one year old reaction to the gentle giant.
Nathan and Daniel took turns telling Santa what they want for Christmas and Nathan, a little concerned that Santa may not know of these toys, went on to explain briefly how they work. Michael and I were chuckling the whole time.

Christmas Decorating

Brooks was done by now, but the tree was up and the boys were proud.

Thanksgiving

Brooks and Buddy went to say hello to Blinker.

Codi taught Nathan how to climb this tree and they hung out there discussing their lives for a long time.
Birdie and Buddy got the grandchildren an awesome new jeep that Daniel and Brooks especially enjoyed.
Daniel and Buddy "cuddling"
Mimi held brooks and got him to take a picture. She was doing awesome, especially considering she is 88 years old.

Michael and the boys playing Monopoly - hilarious considering they don't understand money!

We had such a wonderful time in Waco! Thank you Buddy and Birdie for all the work and love you give to all of us. We are thankful for you.

Visit with the Mooney's

We had such a great weekend with Michael's sister and family. We went to a few great local restaurants, explored U.T. campus for Joshua, who is 16, and went to the football game. We just loved having them and look forward to heading to their town in March!
