Nathan's Baptism

Nathan was baptized today at Barton Springs in front of our church members and the world. What a proud moment it was for Michael and I, so I can only imagine how excited Jesus gets every time another child of his comes to know him personally.
Nathan listens intently to Michael and Phil talk about what it means to be a Christian and Nathan's journey to come to know Christ.
The official dunk

Clinging to his earthly father after such a special and significant moment. We are so proud of Nathan and so thankful that he has chosen Jesus to be his personal savior. We know will pray that his journey will be fruitful and steady throughout the rest of his life.
Michael, Nathan and I before the baptism
Thank you Birdie and Buddy for coming to watch Nathan. It meant so much to us to have you there. We love you!!

Nathan's Summer Basketball

Nathan and his buddy Jacob after the final game. They really came a long way in 6 weeks!
Look at that dribbling - way to go Nathan
And he shoots! Can't remember if he made it, but the goal of the coach was for every kid to get a chance to shoot the ball, which was really nice.

Castell, Tx

As you can see, pants were optional in Castell! Brooks thought the fishing pole was more of a sword and swished it around.
Samuel ready to go to the river with his tube!
Seriously? This is Jack packing up the car and I think wondering how we could bring this much stuff for a two day getaway.
Boone about to take over dog duty for his poor wife who had been bathing a skunk sprayed pooch!
This is Sabra on the verge of tears because she was so grossed out halfway through the process
Laura Tanner always had a sweet smile ready for me if I pointed the camera her way
Still happy here bathing Poggin, but about to lose it!
We went and walked around Castell and this is the adorable Methodist Church - Little House on the Praire style.
Nathan and Daniel sitting under an oak tree
Mary Eliza and Laura Tanner happy as can be
The four munchkins appeasing me with lots of smiles
Virginia Brown playing the piano and giving her best smile. Adorable!
The kids taking a picture outside of the church - it was 105 degrees!
Jack and sweet Jane Ann venturing out into the river, in which we saw 6 snakes. Too many for my comfort for sure.
Nathan happily fishing, but never caught anything.
Michael and the boys loading up fishing poles
Sabra and Virginia Brown cuddling on a hot summer day.
The boys - playing some corn hole. What a great trip! Thanks for making it happen.

Blue Family Reunion 2011

the boys had such a fun time at the beach. Here is Daniel being thrown into the waves by Uncle Doug! Uncle Doug was trying so hard to outlast Daniel, but after about 45 minutes of this, he had to take a break!
The kids playing "chubby bunny" with marshmallows. A fun game/tradition that is always halarious!

Nathan and Taylor (2nd cousin). They seemed to really enjoy each other.
Some of the cousins outside after dinner hanging out together
Ann, Denise, Judy, Cynthia, me, Karen - "the girls"
Nathan, Ellie Ruth, and Daniel making silly faces for pictures (actually Ellie Ruth is just shocked that the boys are actually making crazy faces)
What a precious little picture
This is Daniel's face after three hours in the ocean. Happy and exhausted!
I never could get a family photo, but here is Michael with Nathan and Brooks about to go it the waves
Nathan trying to do handstands on the beach
Daniel doing his version of Baywatch
Brooks ended up loving the water. He started here shallow and ended up in the big waves with daddy

Karen and Judy
Happy fourth of July! It looks like Nathan is taking down some major drinks - but it's only water. He's high on life!
Sweet Josiah - our future longhorn!
The brothers - wondering how in the world they survived this family so long!! Just kidding.
